Directions

The only way to get to New Town and the West Dakota Inn is by driving a car. The town is in an extremely remote part of North Dakota and either a personal or rental vehicle will be necessary. The motel sits right off Highway 23 which makes it very easy to locate for those traveling by road. Plenty of free, on-site parking is available; this key convenience for guests cannot be understated.

The nearest airports from east to west are Minot International (MOT) and Williston Basin International (XWA). The drive is about ninety minutes to two hours from either airport to the motel. You will have to rent a car at the airport for the rest of your trip since there is no public bus or shuttle service to New Town.

There are no passenger trains serving New Town. The travel experience is based on driving and the motel is perfectly equipped for this, providing an easy and accessible overnight stop for motorists on North Dakota's long highways.
